The answer is as always, "it depends". In 'The Millionaire Next Door' Drs. Stanley and Danko analysed a bunch of millionaires (in 1998 when being one was a much bigger deal) and formulated a way to see if you had exceptional wealth:
Wealth Index = (Net Worth) รท (Age * Income) * 10
This is not the first Wealth Index calculator on the internet, but it is the only one as far as I know that does the calculation client-side; without sending your information to a remote computer.
The formula has its caveats. It often misclassifies younger folk who may have landed a decent job but not had time to save. More broadly, as life is lumpy it falls apart during sudden reversals of fortune. So treat it as an entertaining curiousity and remember that when trying to work out if you're wealthy ...
